~I'm in the Hospital Since 1:00pm July 4th~

I am writing this at 2 am Iowa time (CST) on Thursday July 5th as I can't sleep and the hospital has a nice service that lets you borrow a laptop. OH HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY DANCE!!!
I ended up in the hospital July 4th around 1:00 in the afternoon.....
I am way sicker than I thought as I ended up with a high temperature and my white blood cell counts are only at 1.2 (YES, ONE POINT TWO) and they should be around 25 (and they are afraid they might go even lower......also, that $6000.00 SHOT they gave me to help prevent this, didn't work so they are going to have to totally redo my entire chemo treatment. )
I have no idea how long I will be in here, depends on how fast my blood count and go up and also my blood pressure is low and my heart beat is very very faint......I am in a sort of quarantine until my counts go up......so....Here I am....Just trying to get better....I just wanted everyone to know that I am still here, just really sick but the REALLY COOL thing about all of this is I got to see the FIREWORKS out my HOSPITAL WINDOW LAST NIGHT!!!! So you see, it really wasn't so bad getting sick on the 4th of July!!!!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for your CONTINUED PRAYERS!!!! THEY KEEP ME GOING MORE THAN YOU KNOW!!!! ~Amy~

Good morning Amy....... Been thinking about you and wondering how you are. Every morning I take my cup of coffee and log on to your web site to see how you are doing. Sounds like you are having quite a time of it. But you are in the best care right where you are. It is just going to take a little while to get things right. You are in my prayers....... Your friend from IOWA.....JAN

Amy! I hope you are out of there soon. Lets see, 15 years ago I spent the 4th of July in the hospital. I remember being cranky and sad. I was on the side of the hospital that faced away from town. I'm glad you turned it into a fun night. Hope you get that blood count up quick!! Big Hugs!!

Our Father holds you in His hand, Amy. I know it sounds generic but if you feel well enough, take the time to do your daily Bible reading. Our strength comes from Him. Hopefully, you'll be home soon and able to recouperate from this ordeal. Praying for you. Blessings... Polly

Amy sorry you had to go back into the hospital but as Mary said that's the best place to be, especially since you have a fever. Your spirit amazes me, with everything you still look at the bright side of things. Get well soon. Hugs, Pat

Oh sweet Amy. I've been thinking about you more than usual and feeling uneasy and now I know why. I know it's weird but I get these feelings about people I care about when things aren't ok. Sometimes I call my kids when I get these feelings about them and they asked how I knew things weren't ok. Please rest and take it easy. I'm sure you will be home some with your family to care for you. Lots of hugs

Amy-
Hi honey. Well you're in the best place while they get this under control. Hopefully you're starting to feel better? We're all praying for you here.
I'm glad that you were able to see the fireworks, that way you don't feel so left out of the festivities. It stinks to be in the hospital anytime but holidays feel worse.
I'll check in later and see if you've posted.
Big Hugs!

Amy??? Looks like we can't leave you alone for more than a minute before you go sneaking off to the hospital!!! I was so shocked to see your blog update - I had to read it twice to make sure that you really were writing it from the actual hospital! You sounded so good the last time I talked to you on the phone - this took me by total surprise. I am glad you are getting the care you need, and are in a place where they can monitor you and get you back in good health. Please, please - if there is anything you need for Karen and I to do to help you out please let us know! And congrats on winning that auction for that gorgeous wig - you got it for such a great price. It should look beautiful! Take care and you are in our thoughts as always!!! Love you!!! ~~~Missy

I hope that you start feeling better soon. Would'nt it be nice if you could get a refund for the $6.000 dollar shot that did'nt work? Take care and I will check in on you soon!!!!

Well thats a very positive attitude for getting a front row seat for the fireworks.

O.K. Amy, enough is enough. You have all the attention you need. It is time to buckle down and get back on track. I will be there in 5 days, and I DO NOT LIKE HOSPITALS!
I love you Amy, and I will actually be wherever you are just to see you. BUT I HATE HOSPITALS! So try and relief yourself from that institution.
Tell that hot husband of yours I am waiting for my hug!!
Hoping to be able to see Christy and Allie also. I am sure I will see Maddie.

Amy, You have been in my thoughts all day and I keep wondering how you are doing. I pray you are better. Since I did not get your morning phone call (or any new email) I'm concerned.....You need all your strength to get better and rest is the best thing for you right now. When and if you are up to it please call, email me, or post to you blog.
What you have been through! May God bless and heal you. Hugs & Love ~Mary~ :-}
