~BREAST CANCER RECONSTRUCTION PICTURES~
The pictures were taken last week on November 9th, 2007. (CLICK HERE TO SEE THEM and PLEASE REMEMBER to view them at your OWN RISK. THESE ARE ACTUAL PHOTOS) I forgot to take pictures of the fill I had in September but these photos are the latest and I am happy with the size. I have 540cc in each breast and they look so perfect that the doctor and I both agreed not to go any bigger as to mess up the evenness of them. He is VERY HAPPY (he even called in all the nurses to show them how AWESOME it has healed and looks and so am I.
On December 3rd I will have my 2nd phase of reconstructive surgery in which he will take out the expander's and replace them with saline solution implants. He will then shape them as needed and begin making nipples. This whole process will take about 2 and a half hours and I should be able to go home that evening. I have to have this done in the hospital because of all my complications with chemotherapy and he doesn't want to take any chances. (Even though he has his own operating area in his office) The coloring of the nipples will not happen until Spring of 2008. So this whole process takes almost a year. WOW!!! I think they look FABULOUS...WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN!!! AND THIS IS ONE SIDE EFFECT of CANCER I CAN HANDLE!!!
Love and Hugs to all of you,
Amy

Wow! I was worried that they wouldn't really look "normal". I have a friend whose gone through the process and her never looked as good as yours do now. (not that I make it a practice of looking at this stuff but she stayed here after some surgery). Your scars are hardly noticable now. I'm so happy for you! Blessings... Polly
Father God in Jesus' name reign down restored health and peace and joy in the holy spirit...renew this wonderful woman with your perfect peace and may she find comfort in you....thank God for the wisdom of great surgeons and may her story guide and influence others...

Oh Sweet Amy, you look terrific. I can't help but think of the song "He ain't heavy, he's my brother"---the road is long, but in the end, there is a rainbow waiting for you and you truly deserve it.We should rewrite the song to say she ain't heavy, she's my sister. You too are my shining star and will always come here for inspiration. What wonderful gals we all are that we can come and admire another's boobies with joy---I can't imagine my elders doing that for support. You are an amazing woman and never forget it. Hugs, Pat

Hi Amy! I cannot believe how good you are healing and those nasty scars just keep on fading away. I know that you are so excited to get through all of this, just be patient. Your frustrations are valid, so valid and it is terrible that the ex's don't understand the pain and problems that you are having. They are being selfish - it is nothing to do with you. You are the MOST giving person in the world and they know that. That is why they take advantage of you and your good nature. What they need is a cold bucket of water thrown in their face. Ha! Just know that we all love you and are cheering for you! The "sisters" are looking rather perky! Va va va voooom!!! wink!
Love you!!
Becky
Amy, you are one strong woman. Congratulations on the way you cope with this ordeal. You are a wonderful example to your children.

Amy, I ready your blog today and then checked my email. Look what I found! It as if God was wanting me to find a scripture for you. So, check your email...the full message is included. Keep your chin held high and smile...even when you don't feel like it. Forgiving those who seem so unworthy of forgiveness is the most difficult...yet the most satisfying. Peace my lady...keep the peace in your heart and peace will surround you. Bitterness towards the x's will only hurt YOU...don't let "that cancer" take hold. ~ Susie (aka comfycottage)
