~Quick Update~

Just a quick update....My uncle Duane has been brought to the hospital by ambulance last night....things are not looking good and I am on my way there as soon as I post this.
He has Mesothelioma Lung Cancer and has undergone 3 rounds of chemo to help lessen the growth of the cancer. I am his VA Advocate as he was exposed to asbestos in WWII when he served on the USS MARYLAND. It's so sad to see and it is hitting me especially hard right now as it was just 2 short years ago I was going thru this same thing with my Dad. It's like every where I turn I can't get away from that word CANCER. IT SUCKS and then there is our SWEET BLOGGING FRIEND DEENA, who is fighting for her life too. Sometimes I just want to run away, I cry for those who are fighting it, for those who have died from it and then I feel so terribly guilty for beating it. It just doesn't make sense to me.
For now, the shop is on hold, not sure what is going to happen around here. If you can, please pray for Deena and for my Uncle Duane (pray that he doesn't suffer as the prognosis is not one of any hope) and pray for my Aunt Lois, who is taking this so very very hard. She's a mess and just needs someone there for her to support her thru all of this....That is what I am trying to do.
Please try this, just for one day, SAY YES to your loved one for everything they ask of you, don't tell them that is what you are doing, and see how awesome it makes things....it's a pretty cool thing to do, and doesn't take that much to do. You will be amazed!!! JUST SAY YES!!!! with no explanation or anything, just try it.
Hug those you have in your life today, Tell them you love them!!!
Catch up with all of you soon, Amy

Amy, what an inspiring post. I will keep both your Uncle Duane and Aunt Lois in my prayers. I too had to fight back tears for Deena. Please don't feel guilty about recovering from your cancer. When I was in ICU, several people died and I was supposed to be one of them, but God is not finished with us yet. Listen to your heart and not your head, because He still has something for you to do here on earth. Love and Hugs, Pat

Dear Amy, I know how hard it is to see so much sickness...I wish I had the answers for you...
My Dear Husband past from this life from NHL cancer... what the doctors had said "6 months" was what they told him he could live The cancer was all over his body...
He lived 3 and 1/2 years...a miracle...even the doctors were amazed....what I called the unexplainable but undeniable power of God!!!!
I too had a sweet Brother that suffer the kind of cancer your uncle has...He still lived to be in his 80's....too was in WWII..
Both my parents had cancer, in the 70's...back then the treatments were so few and then you had to have lots of money to travel the roads to recovery...
I too have a niece and S-I-L that have had breast cancer...both are doing very well...the neice takes a pill everyday... this was her second time with breast cancer but still doing great!...Praise the Lord! She is raising two young boys..one she carried the baby to full term while taking treatment...the baby born with a full head of hair and hers all gone...what a mircale! even the doctor said that the baby would not make it...he is now 10
I will be praying for you and your family... I know you have been through a lot lately...God knows and loves you for helping others in there time of need...
be safe in Jesus!
from the heart of Texas!
afriendtoyou!
Lots of(((Hugs)))
