~STIR CRAZY~

~I'M GOING STIR CRAZY~
~Why is it when we are tired, exhausted or not feeling well we dream up all the things we wish we could be doing????~
~I'M GOING STIR CRAZY~
I can't read anymore, I can only watch so much tv (which I never watch to begin with.....idle time to me) and I think of all those "FUN PROJECTS" I would love to be working on but can't seem to get that going.....Anyone else feel this way??? Does anyone have any suggestions for me??? I started to write thank you's but my right arm started hurting so I had to stop. I wish ALL OF YOU LIVED CLOSER so you could stop by and see me.....have some coffee or a pop and brainstorm of all the things we would like to do......
Other than being stir crazy....I'm feeling better than I ever imagined I would. Can you believe 9 days ago I had cancer.....and today it's gone??? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN???? IT IS TRULY AMAZING GRACE!!!
LOVE TO YOU ALL......Amy

Hi Amy! I definitely wish we lived closer, we'd sit and sip and brainstorm all the things we are going to do!
I am the same way when I HAVE TO rest. It's just not any fun when it's a "have to". It's like I'm just itching to get up and do what I want to do, and I can't quit thinking about it all!
I'm so very happy about your good news. So many of us are rejoicing with you!

Hi Amy! I'm glad you're feeling better. I've been reading about moms who are stuck on bedrest and what they have been up to... lots of them get the credit card and go shopping online, so that's always a fun option! Others talk about organizing little teeny things like their makeup drawer or the silverware - mindless stuff you always mean to get to. Don't you hate when your brain is going faster than your body?! Take care!

I looked all over to see if I could drive on over and entertain you...I couldn't find out if you were near...anyway...what a difference a week makes, huh?! So happy about the thing being behind you and only good things to move forward with. Bless your heart!

Hi Amy!! You "sound" great!!! Just keep resting and doing nothing, hard as it is, you still need to rest & regain some strength missy, so do what they tell ya. . . . all your projects will be there when yer ready. Have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!! xoxoxoxo Much love to you my cyber gal-pal!

Amy, you are a trip! You need a voice recorder to take down all these dreams and ideas and brainsorming spurts. That way you wouldn't tire yourself, but it would be so much fun to listen to those later on and know that all those wonderful ideas actually came when you were fighting cancer! Like I said in a previous post, you are quite a testimony and an inspiration to those of us who would have more of a tendancy to feel sorry for ourselves and lay and watch tv and let our minds wander in the negative. You keep putting that positive energy out there like you always told me! I'm so happy for you! Happy Happy Joy Joy! Tons of Love and Tender Hugs, Camie

Amazing Grace..who knows...but how sweet the sound. Keep resting and taking care of yourself.
I think it's "normal" to think of all of the things that we'd like to be doing when we just can't. Right now seems like a very good time for you to dream about those things, take pleasure that you will be able to do those things soon. Rest, rest, rest..it's good for the body and soul. It fills us up with ideas, bolsters us up..times of quiet reflection are good and needed. You'll be charging ahead soon.
Forgive me for my advice...I am being a little presumptive here. I am so glad to hear your good news. I wish you comfort, peace, quietude, and the glorious promise of each new day...Blessings to you and those you love and all those that love you.

Amy your posts have so much happy happy joy joy, so I will give you a tip, because I am an expert on stir crazy after 14 surgeries in 5 years. Get some craft books and read up on something new that you might like to do WHEN you are better. Let everyone wait on you and rest. And while you are resting, do some ebay shopping(that's what I did-lol) I had to learn an entire new craft thing so that was the good thing that came from it. Wish I lived closer to visit. Big Hugs, Pat

Amy, thank goodness you are stir-crasy...that means you are getting better. Do you like to listen to books on tape? There are so many wonderful ones at the library!
If you have kids around how about listening to Adventures in Odyssey from Focus on the Family. We listen to them on all our family trips...makes the ride go so fast and they are so interesting (funny too). HTH Dianntha

First, Amy, I'm so glad you are doing better! Last year I had a hysterectomy. I had to lay around a lot too. My hubby rented all the romantic comedies I'd never got around to seeing. I looked at lots of magazines and I did a lot of daydreaming. The time will go faster than you think! big hugs!

I know the feeling of wanting to do all the fun things but can't! It is a daily occurrence for me because I can't do many projects because K and N then want to do projects too which require my help & supervision! I can't do any paper projects until they are in bed so very little scrapbooking gets done here! LOL! This too will pass ahd I know I should just appreciate the here and now. Just think, we can both think of how we are both frustrated about the same thing at the same time! What's the expression ~ misery loves company?! Keep on getting well!

Amy,
So glad that you're feeling like you should be doing something, that sounds like the 'well' Amy. Just let your body be your guide and don't over-do it.
We're all thinking of you.

Hi Amy, Its lovely to hear (well read anyway) you sounding so good. I am familiar with the stir crazy also, after a back operation that had me flat for 6 weeks... BORING ! Absolutely watch all those girlie movies you've wanted to see but never had time, and most of all relax and let your body heal and take care of you.
Keep smiling :)

Hi Amy, Just wanted to say hello.. I know you are going stir crazy.. Wish i could stop by to chat with you in person instead of on the phone. I know you are feeling better and thats a really good thing. For now I guess you are just going to have to rest & take it easy. Hugs to you my sweet friend.

Well you've come an enormous way in such a short time! Thank God for all of this!

Have you ever tried watercolor painting? You know that's my fav! =) It dries quickly, doesn't make a mess, and you just go with the flow! Just have fun mixing pretty colors, maybe make a little collage out of it when you're done, add some sparkles, lace, pretty old photo images... you are a creative lady you know!
hugs to you!!!

Well dah! I was talking like you're not in bed! Sorry about that! But when you ARE able to get around a wee bit, watercolor painting is not very strenuous.

Amy, When I had my knee surgery I felt the same...buggie! We are all so greatful to your doctors and God for taking care of you! I so wish I lived right next door!!! When I was layed up I began A scrap book all about me as I was growing up from birth to present, it kept me busy! Gee I hope you find some fun! How about if someone goes and gets you a couple of older years of Romantic Homes magazines from the library? Helped me a little to plan how to decorate when I got stronger! Take care, Love Lori

Hi Amy, I am so glad to hear some good news from you:))))))

I think you should do whatever you fancy and if you want to have candy I suggest you head off to Flickr for eye candy and see all our Tiara's going up on the Crown and Tiara Group hosted by HollyDoodle. In fact just putting up your favourite search word will bring up a hold lot of eye candy, that has got to be good for you .

best wishes Ginny - England

Amy,
I am so happy you are feeling better. I totally get the stir crazy thing.. If have a ton of photos of the kids and family how about making each one of them a memory album. It will give you something fun to do and creative too. It will be fun going through the photos and the girls will love them, and most likely like to help. My grandma was paralized for over 10 years from the waist down and she had full use of her arms and she made us all the most beautiful albums and I still look at mine all the time.
Send out a note for scrap fabric and paper, you will be overwhelmed with fun supplies..
